Q.

#asktheexpert my son is 2yrs and 2 months.. he doesn't like to eat much...his weight is 12kg...how to increase his weight

A. it is important for you to know that the weight of the child depends upon the genetic patterns and by that pattern only the weight gain in child is seen. it also depends upon the diet the child is taking. so it is advisable that you should meet the doctor who will tell you whether there is anything to worry or not and whether the child requires any health supplements. the child should be given differentx flavours and recipes made from cereals pulses vegetable milk and fruits daily in small amount. you can add ghee groundnuts dryfruits in the diet and this will helpd in improving the weight of the child. you can go through many recipes for children in different flavour and taste for your child on firstcry

A. The weight of your child is bang on as per the current age of your child but still if you feel the child isn’t eating or gaining well then I would suggest you to increase more of proteins into your child every day diet and start with iron and multivitamin supplement as of now
