#asktheexpert My son is 2yr and 4 months old but he doesn't talk much, he always says what interests him and rest he want us to understand by his actions. I m really worried.

DR SHIWAJIRAO PATILGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Hello, your baby boy is 2.4 years old and he doesn’t talk much so you should consult with ENT specialist and see if he is having a tongue tie beneath it

Regarding Speech Baby usually start mono syllable by 6 to 7 months of age then by syllable words come by 9 to 10 months of age then by 12 to 14 months of age baby say two to three words followed by jargon speech at 15-16 months . child can start saying simple sentences by two years of age . just make the child comfortable and do more interaction with the child so that he can learn tobg speak sentences properly. if the speech does not comes even by three years of age you need to consult your doctor for a proper assessment of the child .
