Q.

#asktheexpert my son is 2mos 27 days old. I gv him fm only twice in a day.. he does poty every two alternate day.. He had fever 5days before. He was given antibiotics Taximo by doctor. but I heard before that below 1yr baby should not be given antibiotics. am I right? plz clear

A. Constipation in Babies less than 6 months is very common and more in formula fed babies. you can give bonnirsan drops and some enzyme preparationfs in proper dose suggested by doctor and cow's milk should be avoided before 1 year of age

A. hi dear Until 2 months of age, they may pass a stool after each feeding. But, if stools suddenly increase in number and looseness, suspect diarrhea. If it lasts for 3 or more stools, the baby has diarrhea. If the stools contain mucus, blood or smell bad, this points to diarrhea.
