#asktheexpert my son is 2mos 27 days old. I gv him fm only twice in a day.. he does poty every two alternate day.. He had fever 5days before. He was given antibiotics Taximo by doctor. but I heard before that below 1yr baby should not be given antibiotics. am I right? plz clear

you can give bonnirsan drops and some enzyme preparationfs in proper dose suggested by doctor and cow's milk should be avoided before 1 year of age

Until 2 months of age, they may pass a stool after each feeding. But, if stools suddenly increase in number and looseness, suspect diarrhea. If it lasts for 3 or more stools, the baby has diarrhea. If the stools contain mucus, blood or smell bad, this points to diarrhea.
