#asktheexpert My son is 2 months old...His birth weight is 3.080 and now he is 4.4..peadiatrician suggested to start formula as well as breast feeding(ie.,mixed feeding) to gain his weight..Do I need to start formula to gain his weight?Which formula is recommended?

A. Hello my dear parent. Baby should be gaining at least 400 to 500 g per month in the first few months after birth. Continue feeding your baby well on demand for better health, nutrition, hydration and weight gain. Consult your doctor for further guidance in this matter.
