Q.
#AskTheExpert My Son has a block nose and coughing a little with a little runny nose coz he went on a ride on a bike while he was sweating, the prob is hes not willing to take any syrup meds we have tried every possible thing, but he pukes it out or cries to the core, is there any tablets can be recommended for 3.3yr old? Or any meds for nebuliser? Hes not having fever or mucus as of now

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to redufddce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
