Q.

#asktheexpert my son complains for frequent headaches. but it's not daily or consistent. How can I avoid giving him pain killer syrups?

A. there are multiple causes of headache in children and for immediate relief you can give paracetamol which is a good painkiller also. see that the child is consuming plenty of fluids because many times less water in the body can cause headache. the other common causes are nutritional deficiency as well as anemia and decrease sleep and more screen time if goingz on according to age. paracetamol can be given maximum four times per day but if the problem is occurring again and again please visit the doctor to rule out any major pathology z

A. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much and it may be due to weak eyes and it is better to consult with your local eyes specialist in person and follow the instructions and also avoid screen timing. Thanks and take care
