#AskTheExpert my left breast is having some pains in some areas and the skin on my nipple is broken a little. it is difficult to feed as it pains a lot at the time of sucking and latching. the pain is like chilli powder is applied. also throughout the day there is a poking pain in both breasts now and then. please suggest.

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy2 years agoA. This mild pain is common, and it should go away as you nurse your baby. They can develop for many reasons including a poor breastfeeding latch, not using a breast pump correctly, or an infection. Then, once you have them, sore nipples can lead to a difficult let-down, a low breast milk supply, or early weaning
