Teach them that they can take a time-out before they get into trouble. Removing themselves from a situation and taking a few mins to calm down can be really helpful for kids prone to anger. Hear him or her out. Listening is important. Watch for times when misbehaviour has a pattern. Talk with your kid about this and then take appropriate actions. Notice good behaviour and point it out. Praise their success and efforts. Redirect bad behaviour. Engage your child in different activities to calm him or her down.
