#AskTheExpert My kid is going to be 6 months, so far he is breastfed only need to start giving him solid foods. So what are the suggestions for food?

A. Hello mommy, Age: 6 to 8 months Breast milk or formula, PLUS. Pureed or strained fruits (banana, pears, applesauce, peaches, avocado) Pureed or strained vegetables (well-cooked carrots, squash, sweet potato) Pureed meat (chicken, pork, beef) Pureed tofu. Small amounts of unsweetened yogurt Mix cereals and mashed cooked grains with breast milk, formula, or water to make it smooth and easy for your baby to swallow. Mash or puree vegetables, fruits and other foods until they are smooth. Hard fruits and vegetables, like apples and carrots usually need to be cooked so they can be easily mashed or pureed.
