#AskTheExpert My kid is 5 years and 10 months old. she frequently complains about leg pain specially the calf muscle

A. there are multiple causes of limb pain during this age because it can be normal due tod growth pain. it can also occur due to nutritional deficiency mainly vitamin b12 iron and calcium deficiency. if there is excessive playful activity by the child during the daytime it is but obvious that during the night time there mighdt be limb pain. if the limbs are paining without any activity then yes medical examination and treatment will be required

A. This is mostly due to growth pain which is very normal and common with kids a disease further more you should get tested for some deficiency is If there’s anything from me before the vitamin C or calcium vitamin C so the doctor would advise you to go ahead with necessary supplements as well if it is needed
