Q.
#asktheexpert my got Vaccination day before yesterday. He got mild fever yesterday noted less than 99 F. But he is continuously crying since morning today. Though he is feeding bit not stopping crying. What should I do? DOB- 04/11/2023

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children1 Year agoA. Post vaccination swelling may be a common thing specially after DPT vaccine which may be painful for two or three days and the swelling may remain even up to month so if it is not cdgtausing any pain or other symptoms nothing to worry. Swelling can be reduced by giving ice fomentation locally and paracetamol can be given for fever or pain. Thrombophobe ointment can be applied in acute pain and swelling .
