A. I am a wellness coach and takes care of her food nutrition and lifestyle. I know one thing that it's not happening because of nutrition deficiency or bad lifestyle. I am using mamaearth shampoo. Consulted pediatrician also but didn't get the result. So thought of asking here. Thank you for your responses. I am really happy that people are helping each other here 🙂

A. Hair fall in children can be caused by several factors, including illness, hard water, or even a change in diet or lifestyle. Since your daughter had a cold and cough infection recently, it might be possible that the hair fall is linked to her recovery or the stress on her body. Hard water can also contribute to hair problems, such as dryness and breakage, which could lead to hair fall. Here are some tips to help manage your daughter's hair fall: 1. Gentle Shampoo: Choose a mild, sulfate-free shampoo designed for children's sensitive hair and scalp. Look for natural, gentle ingredients like aloe vera, chamomile, or coconut oil. Shampoos like MamaEarth Gentle Cleansing Shampoo, Himalaya Baby Shampoo, or The Moms Co. Natural Shampoo are good options for kids with delicate scalps and hair. 2. Conditioning: After shampooing, use a natural, lightweight conditioner to keep her hair moisturized. This will help prevent tangling and breakage. You can try MamaEarth Moisturizing Conditioner or The Moms Co. Natural Conditioner. 3. Water Softener: If the hard water is an issue, consider using a water softener or rinse her hair with filtered or distilled water after washing. 4. Gentle Hair Care Routine: Avoid using heat styling tools or harsh hair accessories like tight ponytails or combing when the hair is wet, as this can cause breakage. 5. Balanced Diet: Ensure she is eating a well-balanced diet with enough vitamins and minerals (like iron, vitamin D, and biotin) that promote healthy hair growth. Foods like leafy greens, nuts, and eggs can be beneficial. 6. Check for Underlying Issues: If the hair fall persists or worsens, it’s advisable to consult a pediatrician to rule out any other underlying causes, such as nutritional deficiencies or scalp conditions. Being patient and consistent with gentle hair care routines can help restore her hair health over time.
