#AskTheExpert My entire family was tested COVID positive today but accept for me who has mild fever all others show very mild to nil symptoms. What precautions should I take for my 6 months old baby. So far he has not developed any symptoms

A. hi ok Consultation with doctor personally , is required because examination of the baby is necessary to arrive on a conclusive diagnosis and prescribe accordingly. Maintain adequate hygiene to prevent risk of infection and stay safeOmicron variant is likely to be more infective and spread easily. Its symptoms are cough fatigue runny nose congestion. Children show predominantly upper respiratory tract infection likr fever, runny nose, throat pain, body ache , dry cough. It is recommended to wear a mask regardless of the vaccination status and maintain social distancing. use of sanitizer is recommended .

Children should stay at least 6 feet from others outside of their household.Check your kids’ day care and schools (if they are open) to ensure physical distancing measures are in place.Limit in-person play with other children, and be sure the children wear masks properly.Ensure that children limit close contact with children and adults who are vulnerable, such as those with health conditions.
