#AskTheExpert My daughter will complete 8 months in 4 days but her weight is only 6kg. though she sits for some seconds, rolls over, crawls and is very active. pl suggest foods to increase her weight

A. Hello mommy, Foods like potato, pumpkin, sweet potato, dal, ghee, ragi, almonds, yogurt, eggs and milk help the baby to gain weight. Baby should be gaining additional weight to triple his birth weight by age 1. Baby Should Eat: Breast milk or formula, chunkier purees, and some finger foods. Try scrambled eggs and small bite-size (about a half inch) cubes of well-done pasta, vegetables, meatballs, cheese, and ripe fruit.

A. Hi mom If ur baby is active and playful then no need to worry about weight much. Include ghee, dry fruits powder, Banana, potatoes, rice, sweet potato, avocado, ragi etc in ur baby's diet for weight gain. Take care
