#AskTheExpert My daughter weight is low. She don't take interest in eating foods. Should I meet doctor?

A. for good Growth of the child it is important that the child should get proper nutritional requirement which is very important for the growing child specially iron and vitamin D is required for better growth and cognition . also there is role of other micronutrients. one should ensure that the child should get a proper balanced diet which contains all types of nutrients essential for growth. any kind of infection specially any chronic infecction should be rulecd out and treated which may hamper the growth otherwise. after 2 years of age you can give some powder like kids Pro/ prohance junior mix in milk twice a day for one or two months.

A. thank you for reaching out to us this question please note if your child is active and meeting all milestones then you don't really need to worry too much about the weight discontinue to give food items that she really enjoy this will help increase her appetite is make sure the items are not from the junk food category and you make a healthy a version of those
