#AskTheExpert My daughter take little food & her mainly depend on milk, what can I do so that she will take more food or fruit rather than milk

A. Limit the milk intake. Babies above one year old will not need any more milk than 500ml. So u can give a total milk intake upto 500ml per day split into two or three feeds. Anything more than this can fill the the baby's tummy and the child may start resisting other foods. Low appetite can be due to reasons like low zinc levels or too much dairy products or less gap between meals etc. Include ajwain , ginger, lemon or carrot juice, coconut water, curd with mint in the kid's meals to boost the appetite. South Indian rasam will also increase the appetite.
