#AskTheExpert my daughter s havin cold n runny nose just started a day bf4. i jus gave her solvin colf af drops 1 ml the night, after a few hour she woke up n started crying like in pain inconsolably. as i gave it her without consulting doc, is der any problem wit d medication? pls help

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 7 m old boy4 years agoA. no can continue you can go for home remedies like tulsi ginger honey combination which can be diluted with water and given frequently to the child. also u can give turmeric with milk one or two times everyday. give warm water to drink as well as nasal saline drops frequently. avoid giving cold water and cold food or ice cream. try to prevent tempperature variations around the child that is from hot to cold and cold to hot environment. keep the child well covered. if the palms and soles of the child are cold then the child is feeling cold and you have to take preventive measures to make the child warm

Hey I don’t think so it is because of the medication you gave but yes there could be side-effects of medicines when given to the child without consulting the doctor because you’re not sure about them so it’s better to consult your paediatrician ones as of now just take your child to the doctor
