#AskTheExpert My daughter is about 4 years old. She is suffering from viral fever from 30 Jul. PCM syrup 250 mg is working but after 6 hour it re occurs. initially fever was 103 but from yesterday it is near 100. What other medications should I do more??

A. Fever is when the temperature of the body goes above 99 degree fahrenheit and the safest medicine in such situation is paracetamol which can be repeated after 6 hours again if required in a proper dose . Alternative fdmedicine can also be tried if required like ibuprofen and mefenahmic acid preparations. cold sponging of the whole body with tap water can be beneficial too to bring the temperature down .
