Q.

#asktheexpert my daughter is 6months old and her weight is 5kg yet.what should I do to increase her weight?please suggest me any diet chart for her .

A. Hi, usually baby will get double the birth weight by six months and triple the birth weight by one year. The weight seems to be God. You can check accordingly to your baby’s birth weight. Once baby complete six month you can start with semisolid food like ragi porridge, fruit purée, vegetable purée, water. And you can give four semisolid feed in a day with a gap of four hours between each feed and minimum of two hours of gap To give liquid feed. avoid salt, sugar, honey, citric fruits, dry fruits, cow milk until baby completes one year.
