Q.

#asktheexpert My daughter is 6 months old and I started giving her ragi porridge in very watery consistency via paladi, but she pushes out with her tongue and doesn’t keep anything inside the mouth, same with medicines even when given with a dropper/filler she pushes out everything from her tongue. I’ve managed to give medicines when she’s half asleep so that she doesn’t push them out. But with solids it’s getting difficult to feed her. Please advice, what to do for her tongue thrust? Also she wakes up every 2 hours at night even when she’s full. She is breast fed at night and bottle fed during day, during day she takes 100ml 5-6 times

A. You can apply candidate mouth paint into the mouth of your child regularly and specially half an hour before you feed anything to the child along with that also I would recommend you to go for better food like Dal and rice water a little bit of khichadi and fruits and vegetables and necessary salt and spices into the food with flavour I’m very certain the childhood enjoy what you are offering
