Q.

#asktheexpert My daughter is 4.5 months old. her belly button is still out though better than before. How long does it take to go in.

A. the child is having umbilical hernia which is very common in children and goes away by maximum 2 years of age.g with growing age it regresses and goes inside it does not require any intervention or treatment before 2 years if it is non complicated. meet your doctor once who will tell you whether any intervention or wait and watch policy is required.

Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much and it is quite difficult to say anything about it without personally examination . so it Is always advisable to consult with your local child doctor in person and follow the prescription and instructions after evaluation . thanks and take care
