Q.
#AskTheExpert my daughter is 3 years old . She caught normal cold and cough. last 3 days she has runny nose with white transparent mucus . now runny nose is not there but she coughs in the morning only for some time ... Rest of the all day she is completely fine. it's been 10 days that she is coughing in the morning. I am giving her homeopathic medicine since last 5 days after consulting a homeo doctor.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it may be a part of allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination.
steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like alex cold/ hatric 3/ sinarest.
As a partf of viral illness there could be associated sympttoms like cough and fever which needs treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration needs to be maintained .

please give lukewarm water for drinking
please give gentle massage on chest and limbs with Babyhug rapid relief rub
please give daily sun light exposure
