#asktheexpert My daughter is 3 months old. She always cries while I breastfeed her. What is the reason?

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children4 years agoA. the baby is 3 months of age is baby is crying while taking breastfeeding you have to examine the mouth of the baby whether baby is having any ulcers in the mouth of the coating of the tongue etc

May be the baby is having latching problem.
Keep the head a bit elevated while feeding and put whole of the nipple and most of the aerola in the babies mouth so that baby latches easily.
Try different feeding positions in which baby is comfortable sucking. U can also feed ur baby in lying position.
