#AskTheExpert My daughter is 2.5 year old, is having vomiting and loose motions. Dr. gave medicine for vomiting (ondesteron) and oflox M for loose motion and food poisoning. But now she is not eating and drinking anything.

A. Yes Sir , loose motions was associated with foul smell and mucous and mild fever also. Should we countinue with ofloxacin plus metronidazole syrup? Will it help? Can you suggest some tip for her hunger improvement, she is not eating anything.

A. Loose motion are most of the time infective where it is associated with fever andby vomiting and its known as gastroenteritis where symptomatic treatment along with management for dehydration is required if loose motions are associated with foul smell mucous high grade fever than it could be bacterial infection which needs antibiotics treatment
