#asktheexpert my daughter is 2 1/2 years old and she has milk allergy. I am worried about her calcium and vitamin d levels Need some suggestions about her calcium substitutes

A. hi you will need to find alternative sources for the nutrients that milk provides . there are plenty of other ways to ensure that a child can get enough calcium, vitamin D and healthy fats in their diet . Here I suggest you some non -dairy sources of calcium and other nutrients you can include in your toddler's diet .: -Almond milk or almond butter. -beans -broccoli -calcium fortified cereals -orange juice -calcium fortified soy milk -green leafy vegetables like spinach ,kale , turnip greens etc -papaya -mushroom -avacado
