Q.

#AskTheExpert my daughter is 17 months old.. she generally hv loose motion.. only 4 front teeth in each jaw she hv.. she does not want to eat anything with her own hunger.. I put a lot of effort to make her stomach fill... she eats hardly 2or4 spoons than starts spitting out food.. what should I do for her healthier development..

A. Loose motion most of the time is because of some infection which could be viral or bacterial and in such case it is associated with symptoms like fever along with vomiting and loss of appetite . supportive treatment is very necess HDrary where proper hydration should be maintained by giving ORS along with that probiotic can be given like enterogermina or econorm in a proper dose . Antibiotics has their role only if it is bacterial infection . for this doctor guidance is necessary .
