Q.

#asktheexpert My daughter is 1 year 8 months old and has got all her incisors and premolar teeth. Her canines and molar teeth have not come yet and she is still not comfortable with solid food. I have to give her minced food now also. Is it normal for a child her age? When will she get all her teeth?

A. A kid gets all his or her 20 milk teeth by the time he or she turns 3 years old. Offer different textures of food slowly. Mash your kid's food with a fork. You will get a coarse puree. Give him or her some dissolvable or very soft finger foods. Give your baby bigger pieces of finger foods that he or she can hold himself or herself, gnaw and take small bites from.
