the weight gain of baby should be at least 500 grams in a month.
baby should double the birth weight by 6 months or less
for healthy weight gain frequently feed baby on demand
have frequent skin to skin contact,
at one time feed from only one breast so that baby receives fat rich hindmilk which will help in weight gain
ensure that baby latches properly during breastfeeding.
