#AskTheExpert My daughter has not gained significant weight since 1 year. Her body weight increased around 500 gm in the past 12 months. She is 19 months old now, her body weight is around 7.5 to 8 kg. Her birth weight was 2.75 kg. kindly advice if it is a matter of concern. She is quite active, playful and a quick learner too, but has little attention to food.

A. Long, short, thin, or chubby — babies come in all shapes and sizes. While society may send a message that your lil' nugget has to have rolls of baby fat to be healthy, this isn't really true. As long as they're meeting developmental milestones, are alert and active, and are feeding well, you likely don't need to worry.
