#asktheexpert My daughter had veey little hairs at birth..and as she grew that hair also fell off..got 3-4,times shaved her head within 2years.. now she is 5, still she have very light and less hairs...Also front hairs are too small. what should I apply or any suggestions

A. Hair loss in babies is very common and because of many reasons. Because of the withdrawal maternal hormone initial hairfall is there. After birth all the hair of the baby remain in the resting phase and usually by 8 to 12 weeks of age shedding of hairs is there . Hairs will grow back mostly by 3-7 months but a proper quality hair will be there by around 2 years of age. Cradle cap is also a cause for frequent shedding of hairs. along withc traction alopecia because of continuous pressure on head in lying position

U Can apply almond oil regularly it’s one of the best things to applying to the scalp but that necessarily does not mean that the hair growth is going to become better or something hair growth is also genetic like height is so maybe you or your husband maybe your immediate family like grandparents have lighter hair so maybe the child has taken that
