#asktheexpert my daughter complains of having rashes at the back.. tough nothing is visible as such means rashes or anything else, but she always compalins of itching.. i have used physiogel lotion also.. plz explain what it could be?

A. Red Colour Rash over the body if present could be some allergy rashes which may be of sudden onset along with itching. or it could be viral exanthematous rash where the the onset of rashes is there along with fever or assosiated symptoms. and it could be some infection also whi hich needs proper examination. Application of calamine lotion or Anti itch lotion like Ritch lotion can be done for soothing along with antiallergic medications initially.

A. hi it happens because of many reasons like dry skin, allergy to something like fabric food or cosmetics,heat or sweating or Infection. so first ,dress your child in loose fitting Cotton clothes keep your child in well vantileted room. avoid giving processed oily spicy food. you can apply pure aloe vera gel or baby soothing Calamine lotion on this part. you can give warm water bath with neem leaves .
