#asktheexpert My daughter Araa is 2.5 years old. She is able to speak and recognize a number of words but still not able to speak a small sentence. I am worried. Kindly suggest what can I do for her speech development.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Regarding Speech Baby usually start mono syllable by 6 to 7 months of age then by syllable words come by 9 to 10 months of age
then by 12 to 14 months of age baby say two to three words followed by jargon speech at 15-16 months .
child can start saying simple sentences by two years of age .
just make the childgt comfortable and do more interactfion with the child so that he can learn to speak sentences properly.
if the speech does not comes even by three years of age you need to consult your doctor for a proper assessment of the child .

Your child is able to understand every thing done that is good enough but if your child is unable to speak well or communicate well apart from the things that your child as loan then it could be a little bit of delay in to the speech of the child for this you should consult a doctor onesWrite Your Answer Here
