childs daily diet should have:
cereals starch like rice wheat corn , sago, Limited amount of bread
at least 2 serving of good protein like pulses beans egg soya , milk and Milk products, fish chicken, meat
variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables and green leafy vegetables
energy dense fruits and vegetables like banana , custard apple, Chiku, sweet potato more frequently
Nuts like almond ,dry fruits, peanuts
at least half litre full fat milk which also includes milk products like so 1-2 two glasses milk and rest as paneer or cheese or curd
add ghee on top of food to provide more energy
avoid fruit juices and thin soup as they fill up the stomach and provide less nutritionl
don't be tempted to provide energy rich but unhealthy foods like sweet chocolate cake sugary juices avoid intake of junk and packaged foods.
