Q.

#AskTheExpert my daughter 6 yrs old has been suffering from excessive cough and cold. she has been prescribed BUDECORT INHALER twice a day and LEVOLIN inhaler thrice a day. it has been seven the cough has reduced a little bit but far still she seems to have cough. have I been prescribed the correct medicine or should I consult someone else

A. Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it can be allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination. steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the fycases along with decongestant medicine like wikoryl, alex cold In viral illness there can be cough and fever which needs treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration .v

A. doctor has prescribed inhaler.. medicine are fine.. if baby conditions is not improving then you should revisit the doctor Give steam inhalation warm compress with ajwain potli on baby chest and back use Babyhug rapid relief baby rub
