Q.

#AskTheExpert My child was having loose motion and because of that we postponed his vaccination. He is 3 months old now. It is already 8 days due. Please tell me minimum how many days of gap is good or not for the routine vaccine.

A. it may be any viral. Loose stool may be sign of any viral infection or any food poisoning . Limit of milk along with probiotics like enterogermina and zinc will help In these . ORS is to be given in sufficient quantity as baby drink to prevent any dehydration .

A. hi dear Breastfed babies often pass more than 6 stools per day. Until 2 months of age, they may pass a stool after each feeding. But, if stools suddenly increase in number and looseness, suspect diarrhea. If it lasts for 3 or more stools, the baby has diarrhea.
