#asktheexpert My child speaks very less.. most of the time he's silent only Maa and paa he speaks rest silent but physically he's very active.. he plays football all the time and enjoy swings too.. only worried about his speaking skills.. please guide me what to do in this situation. Regards Preet

A. How old is ur child? Some kids can be reserved so you have to urge them to talk more. Also every child is different and there could be early and late speakers. So u need not worry. The only key is to keep communicating with ur baby regularly. Question him and urge him to answer. Talk to him about everything that u see around. Tell more stories. A continuous verbal conversation with ur baby will improve his vocabulary and encourage him to speak more. Limited screen time can also help to improve kid's vocabulary.
