Possible Causes:
1️⃣ Weak Fine Motor Skills – Difficulty controlling the pencil properly.
2️⃣ Poor Pencil Grip – Holding the pencil too tightly.
3️⃣ Excessive Pressure While Writing – Pressing too hard on the paper.
4️⃣ Lack of Hand Strength – Weak finger muscles.
5️⃣ Stress or Anxiety – Some children grip tightly when nervous.
What You Can Do:
✔ Encourage Proper Pencil Grip – Use a triangular grip pencil or rubber grips.
✔ Practice Hand Exercises – Squeezing a stress ball, playing with clay, or tearing paper.
✔ Use Wide-Lined Notebooks – Helps in spacing letters properly.
✔ Make Writing Fun – Let them trace big letters in sand, flour, or shaving foam.
✔ Try Different Writing Tools – Crayons, chalk, or thick markers may help.
⚠ If the issue persists, a pediatric occupational therapist can help improve fine motor skills.
