#asktheexpert my child is not gaining weight adequately..she was 3.4kg at birth and at 2 months she is only 4.25kg. she is on exclusive breastfeeding and feeds 8-9 times a day. there are no hunger cries, sleeps adequately and passed urine 5-6 times a day.

The weight is Tilak 800 g in two months is decent but the urine output is quite less it should be 10 to 12 times per day so I would one time advise you to consult a doctor and if they suggest you to start with formula feeding on the side then that’s going to be more beneficial
