Q.

#AskTheExpert My child is 8 month old. She was having high fever vomiting and diarrhoea. Now vomiting has stopped and fever has come down. But diarrhoea is still there. Please suggest some foods that we can her at this time.

A. Loose motion are most of of the time infective where it is associated with fever and vomiting and its known as gastroenteritis where symptomatic treatment along with management for dehydration is required if loose motions are associated with foul smell mucous high grade fever than it could be bacterial infection which needs antibiotics treatment

A. hi dear Call your pediatrician or seek medical attention if you are worried or if: Your infant is under 3 months of age and has a fever or vomiting and diarrhea. Your child has signs of dehydration: no urine in over 8 hours, no tears, dry mouth, etc. Your child has been vomiting for more than 48 hours.
