#AskTheExpert My child is 4 years old currently. From the day he joined school and Air Conditioner has been installed in the school, he falls ill every 10-15 days. Develops cold, cough and running nose 2-3 times in a month. What precautions should I take and what kind of food items should I include in his diet such that he does not fall ill every now and then ?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy3 years agoA. regular cough and cold in children are most commonly associated with allergy which might be due to weather changes on temperature variations. many times simple cough and cold is followed by secondary infections. it is very common that children will have ad recurrent cough and cold as well as fever before 5 years of age and after that a proper immunity is developed and then this problem will go away. get the child vaccinated for flu vaccine which will again help in decreasing thids problem
