Q.

#asktheexpert my child has Acid Reflux or GERD. How long does it stay? Is it a lifelong ailment or a short lived one.

A. about 5 ml to 10 ml regurgitation is very normal and no treatment is given for that just continue regular burping for 15 to 20 minutes after every feed but if it is more than 10 ml every time the child might be suffering from gastro-oesophageal reflux problem for which medications along with lifestyle modification for the child will be required. For the time being keep the child in upright position more often. For vomiting give 2 drops domstal twice daily and then meet your dr. so kindly remain in contact with a doctor
