#AskTheExpert My child (baby boy) is 1 month 27 days old and his weight is 4 kg 700 gm. Is it fine ? what can I do to increase his weight ?

A. yes it's ok Weight gain depeens upon birth weight and maturity of the baby if the baby is active and feeding adequately don't worry about it feed for 10 to 15 min from each side

A. Your baby is almost 2 months old and 4.7 kgs weight at this age is completely fine. Ideally, baby should gain 140-200 gms weight per week in the initial months and by 5th month, it should double the birth weight. Keep feeding milk frequently and fully and that should include at least twice night feed too.
