First thing make sure to consult with your pediatrician and see if you are giving the right formula or might he need any special formula that will help weight gain. Your baby should be peeing anywhere between six to ten times a day which means the baby is taking feeds properly. If not then make sure the baby is latching and taking feeds well and if the frequency need to be increased. Also there should be a gradual weight gain. Keep a check on these factors. Babies under six months take on an average around 750 ml to 900ml per day split up into seven to nine feeds based on their appetite.
