#asktheexpert My bany had 6week vaccine yesterday..before sleeping i gave her 10drops calpol as per my doc..at midnight she had 102 fever so igave her 10drops again(in 4 hr duration)with water cloth on her body wch came till 98-99..in morning it was again 101 so gave 10drops again(in 4hr duration) Still it shows between 99-100 what shall i do please suggest

ExpertDr. Mohammed imranPaediatrician4 years agoA. hello parent your kid is one month old and has been vaccinated you may give oral paracetamol drops along with ice pack application on the vaccination site for pain and swelling relief

Firstly You cannot repeat medicine every four hours you have to repeated six hours not before that it’s not healthy and the fever can’t stay there for 2 to 3 days after vaccination so it’s okay you can continue with the medicines till you feel the fever is rising too much like 101 or 102° then you should consult your doctor once again
