Q.

#AskTheExpert My baby will turn 6months on 10th August and also I will be resuming my work from home. She has been exclusively breastfed.I am worried about following: 1.How much formula milk can I introduce in her diet and will that reduce my breastmilk? 2.How often should she have rice/pulses water in her 6th month? 3.When can she start consuming cow's milk?

A. Hello dear parent,, as uour baby will turn 6 months old. You can begin with moong dal ka Pani 5 to 6 spoons 2 to 3 times in the day. Do this for 2 days and look for any indigestion in the baby. Increase the quantity if everything remains fine. Also give rice water, watery Khichdi, home made Cerelac, apple pure etc the same way you gave moong dal ka Pani. Also you can give formula milk now. There is no problem. And simultaneously you can give breast milk. Cow milk can given from 1 year of baby's age.
