Q.

#AskTheExpert my baby weight is 5.8 kg and he's 4 months old. birth weight is 3 kg. is this weight ok. his weight is slowly increasing. he's taking the feed for very less time 5-10 times maximum for each feed. 7-8 feedings per day. is it normal. he's on exclusive breastfeed.

A. Hello ma’am If your child is gaining even 500 g to 1 KG every month that is supposed to be an ideal weight gain for the child so need not worry about it and your child has gained approximately two kgs in four months so it is an ideal weight gain don’t worry about it and it is anyway said if the birth weight double by the age of six months or even before then that’s a healthy ideal weight gain
