Q.

#asktheexpert my baby was born at 34 weeks, weighting 2.160kg.Now she is 2 months, weighting 3.8kg. I just want to know ,what precautions should I take with my baby in overall development. will there be any physical or IQ concern in future for preterm babies?

A. you have to give only breastfeeding /milk to the child till completion of 6 months of age and before 6 months of age if you are giving any type of outside food or complementary feeding it can cause digestion problem in the child. no need to give water also because breast milk contains 80% of water and water also is given after six months of age only. it is advisable to continue the the multi vitamin and supplement medicines given by your doctor. and regular pediatrician visits
