For a 4-month-old baby with rough skin, use a gentle, fragrance-free baby moisturizer such as Cetaphil Baby Daily Lotion or Aveeno Baby Soothing Relief Moisturizer after baths to lock in moisture. Bathe your baby with lukewarm water and a mild baby soap like Dove Baby Bar or Mustela Gentle Cleansing Gel to prevent further dryness. Avoid over-bathing and ensure the baby’s skin is well-hydrated. If the roughness persists or worsens, consult a pediatrician to rule out conditions like eczema or allergies.
