A. Dear parent, what was your child’s birth weight and what is the current weight? For healthy weight gain, exclusively breastfeed your child till 6 months complete. At one episode of breast feeding feed from only one breast so that baby receives fat rich hindmilk which will help in weight gain. If your baby is gaining at least 500 grams per month and doubles the birth weight by 6 months, then do not worry. Introduce solid foods after 6 months.

A. Hi Mom, feed your baby well. If you want to start solid foods before six months, it is best to consult with your child doctor for better advise. By six months, your child have to be double by her birth weight and by one year, your child have to be triple by her birth weight. Thank you.
