#asktheexpert My baby's weight during birth was 2.3Kg and after 4 days, it came down to 2.10Kg. She was borne almost 20 days prior to expected date of delivery. What should be the ideal weight after 10 days from the date of birth?

Shaista TarannumMom of a 16 yr 5 m old boy4 years agoA. there will be hardly any weight gain in the first few days.initially babies will lose some weight in the first few weeks. after that they will start gaining weight. nothing to eirry if baby has lost a few grams. it is absolutely fine.
just make sure the baby is breastfed well. atleast once every 2 hours.
